At last! I made it to London. The first leg of a month long journey abroad. We got to the palace gates and didn't even know we had arrived. I think my mom thought the Queen would be sitting on the front porch or something. The guards with their machine guns made me laugh a little bit, just because even the White House doesn't have armed guards standing at the gate itself.
First impressions of London are that it is so incredibly diverse. So much more diverse than I had ever anticipated. and not even in terms of foreign tourists, the locals themselves represent so much of the world. And I thought America was a melting pot.
