Key West was my favorite Bahamian stop by far. Although I guess technically it belongs to Florida? but it is its own republic? I'm gonna have to look into what all that really means. the way the locals explained it is that they still belong to Florida but they became they're own republic in order form.
The views were all so beautiful and just calming. Despite the fact that VSCO the shit out of my pictures there were a few HASHTAGNOFILTER moments, included this one where I risked my life and got within 6 inches of these birds. I normally hate birds but idk something about being on the island and being one with the island or maybe it was just the result of being on a boat for 3 days that had be not thinking clearly.
I rode a bike for the first time since I was seven probably and I was like am i REALLY gonna ride a bike. but then I did and it was fun and way better than walking. So we biked around the entire island in our blue cruisers. It was so chill and the people there are so chill. except the tourists, they're awful.
This was my favorite view of the entire trip. ^^
Side note: there were chickens literally roaming the streets of Key West and I wanted to buy a stuffed chicken (like the toy not food) but the chicken souvenir shop was closed :( actually it wasn't closed it said "back in 5 minutes" but the people there are too laid back for me to trust that 5 minutes really means 5 minutes.
